Biography
Dr. Kevin Deonarine graduated New York Chiropractic College in 2002 with Magna Cum Laude honours. Since then he has focused his continued education on sports specific therapies and methods to correct biomechanical dysfunction, optimize performance and avoid reinjury. Following the Functional Integrated Therapy approach he utilizes a number of techniques such as Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Active Release Technique (provider since ’01), fascial abrasion, Kinesiotaping, joint manipulation and custom orthotic casting to treat sports injuries of both the recreational and elite athlete. In practice Kevin has worked with professional and amateur long distance runners and triathletes as well as athletes from the NHL, CFL and AHL. He is currently in his 3rd season as a consultant to the Maple Leafs AHL affiliate Toronto Marlies hockey team. In addition, Kevin is an instructor with the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program at McMaster University.
